HG 1/144 GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser + GN Sword III
GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser (aka 00 Raiser, 00R), is the combined and mainstay form of GN-0000 00 Gundam and GNR-010 0 Raiser in mid-season 2 of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The unit is co-piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei and Saji Crossroad. (from gundam wiki).
Hello again and welcome once more to more of Psyckogunpla's (that's me) model kit selections!
This time, I will be building the super poseable and super articulate 00 Raiser along with his huge GN Sword III. [Side note: super is actually an understatement when talking about this thing's articulation. I will show and explain it in a future post].

Now first off, as always, I usually follow the order of parts to build that come in the instruction manual. I usually start off with the weapons just so I can play around with something when I get tired...
*cough cough* Moving on... For the 00 Gundam itself, the picture above is actually the only blue runner you'll get. You get the normal multi-colored runner and the white runner as well. Yeah the runners seem to be pretty low in number but Bandai does not even short out in this thing's articulation! (Again, more on this later). The number of runners are low because, well, what can you expect from a High Grade model.

I forgot how unbelievably tiny a High Grade head is compared to a Master Grade one.
The parts are easy to snap into each other however I do have problems with regards to the V-fin falling off from time to time with just the slightest touch.

With the upper body finished, you can see that the colors are pretty much plain and simple. I would expect much from a High Grade kit however I do have one gripe and that is the supposedly color yellow on the V-fin.
Bandai made such a great job with the kit even though that it is just a High Grade model. The 00 Gundam does not need a lot of color separation nor a ton of details implemented (as compared to most UC kits). But the color yellow on the V-fin is provided to us by a foil sticker.
Yes, a foil sticker and I am not the least bit fan of these things. Why? Because I find them ugly to look at ('cept for the eyes, they're OK to me).
When you put a foil sticker onto a piece of gunpla, people will immediately notice that it is in fact a sticker. I am not against people who prefer placing the stickers instead of painting the parts but corners on a gunpla are hell for stickers. Any gunpla modeler will know what I mean.

To show how articulate this kit is, we can see one of the legs here on how it can bend and move about. You can actually fool around with the ankle joint to make the feet twist and turn to most "human-like" methods possible. Also, once the kit is complete, I have found no restriction whatsoever to make the legs do this type of pose.
Why the maximum poseabilty and articulation? One word. POLYCAPS.
This thing has a ton of it for a High Grade model and they are stationed at just the right places giving you the option to pose the 00 Gundam to a near infinite amount of poses. This thing's poses are only limited to your imagination.

The 0 Raiser is also simple to build. It's all pretty much Cut-Sand-Connect.
By the way, Bandai gave us this neat display base for the 00 Gundam or the 0 Raiser to stand on.

With the 00 Gundam and the 0 Raiser finished, I place this WIP to a close.
Time of completion: approx. 3 days.
Final verdict: This kit is an absolute must buy! If you are a UC fan, get this kit for the articulation. If you are a SEED fan, get this kit for the articulation. If you are a 00 fan, then get this kit for the awesomeness and the articulation! Need I say more?
But seriously, when the two kits connect and form the 00 Raiser, there are no evidences of being way too back heavy even the scrawny Gundam becomes a massive hulk. It's well-balanced, simple, and has amazing articulation!

OT: I wonder how many times I said articulation in this WIP?
